The NICCE Foundation
Laura Tuteral - President
There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss the kids I worked with in India. They were some of the most amazing people I’ve ever spent time with, and I know that they taught me more than I could ever have taught them. I was privileged enough to meet some of the children’s families, and I saw first-hand the struggle they went through while being so far away from each other. After leaving India and returning to the United States, I realized that all I could think about were ways to help these children be educated and provided for in a Christian environment, while still being close to their families. This non-profit was created specifically for that purpose. I am so excited about what Jamishon is working to accomplish in North India. I met with him several times while in India in order to discuss future plans for a school and children’s home in Yeasom Village. He is completely devoted to doing God’s work on a grand scale, and I am so excited to have the privilege of working alongside him through the support of this foundation.
Frank Grand - Vice President and Chairman of the Board
When Laura, a former student, told me about the North India Christian Children's Education Foundation, I could not think of a more important activity to get involved with. I have volunteered with many men's ministry and Sunday school programs over the last 17 years and working with men and young adults has confirmed the importance of raising children in a Christian environment. The NICCE mission statement says it all - these children need our love and generosity so they can feel Christ's power in their lives. With your support, we can change their lives day-to-day and eternally.
Sharon Chapman - Secretary
I have been actively involved with many charities over the years and know that the success of an organization is greatly determined by the strength of the need and the people behind the cause. I am convinced that there is a tremendous need in Northern India for the educational facilities that NICCE can help to build. People are in place that can execute the project. We in America are blessed in so many ways. We know that there are great needs everywhere in the world and we become overwhelmed with not knowing how to make an effective difference. I believe that funds will directly go to the areas promised and will quickly make a difference. This is important to me as a contributor as I am sure it is to you. All of us involved rely on God to carry this mission to fruition. Please join us in choosing to make a difference.
David Tuteral - Treasurer
I retired from the US Air Force in 2006 and I’m now working for IBM Corporation. My wife and I are very involved in First Baptist Church of Woodbridge, Virginia. Seeing my daughter’s passion for wanting to help build Christian based schools in North India, I obviously wanted to partner with her in setting up the NICCE Foundation. My wife and I also visited India in March 2009 on a mission trip in order to help lead a mini-Bible school at one of the children’s homes in South India. While in India, I met with Jamishon and he truly has a heart for establishing Christian schools in North India. I’m excited that the NICCE Foundation will not only be supporting Jamishon, but also helping to establish Christian based children’s homes and schools throughout North India. Especially since there is such a great need for Christian schools in that part of India.
Sam Rabon - Board Member
My name is Sam Rabon and I was born in Charleston, SC. God has blessed me with a godly wife, Camille, and a wonderful son, Seth. I graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC in 1991 with a BA in Sociology. Afterward, I spent the next phase of my life managing restaurants and a catering company. God called me into vocational service for Him in the fall of 2004. I received my Masters of Divinity in Student Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC in 2009. I have been blessed to serve as the Director of Ministry for Children and Youth at Heritage Baptist Church in Farmville, VA since May 2005. My passion is to see young people come to know the fullness of life in Christ and to help shepherd them into a lifelong commitment to loving the Lord.
Simon Buffler - Board Member
Simon earned his Masters in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town where he also helped to develop and administer foundational courses for students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. He then moved to London to launch a career in financial software which gave him the chance to work and travel across Europe. Simon made the hop across the Pond seven years ago to settle in Hoboken NJ, and his new work role gave him the chance to travel to India on a couple of occasions where he fell in love with the country and her people. Simon has a passion for working with children, and has been involved in local mentoring programs and leads one of the children's ministries in his local church community.
Jeannie Botteri - Board Member
I was raised in Woodbridge, VA, where I had access to good schools and the support of a strong Christian community. When Laura began her work with NICCE, I couldn’t wait to get involved and help support this cause. I am passionate about promoting the values and beliefs of the Christian faith and giving back to children in need. The efforts of the NICCE Foundation will provide the children of Northern India with invaluable experiences and opportunities. The fruits of those efforts are made evident by the smiles on the faces of those children. I am honored to be a part of this endeavor. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from George Mason University and work for the Department of Defense. I also write for my local newspaper, The Old Bridge Observer, and volunteer as a Girl Scout Leader.
